i know, as that is one of my fav open source apps, but i think it's fairly difficult to make portable. I think someone tried before but ran into problems, and then I tried with the "portable" version that can be made from within FDM but that had some uncontrollable problems also. my version is still up in the forums but i gave up on it and it may leave a couple registry keys and it removed a couple things if FDM was already installed. Hopefully someone can discover a way to make this happen though.
i've tried myself but gave up for the same reasons i was hopeing someone with more programing knowledge than me might try as i've only just started trying to write programs myself

It worked Ok for me. There were problems with percentage/DLed size information in 2.5b745 but it was said it's a problem with this version.
Did you deleted original FDM after creating Portable version?
