PeaZip 2.0 was released few hours ago: this release completes the evolution PeaZip user interface sustained in 1.* series and set the new starting point for UI of 2.* series; UI development was expecially focused in enhancing usability of the application under many different aspect: improved context menus, more keyoboard shortcuts, smarter default behaviours etc...
The natively standalone package of PeaZip 2.0 is:
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/peazip/peazip_portable-2.0.bin.WINDOWS...
2.0 portable package features those changes against 1.11b:
peazip.exe was updated
res\conf.txt was updated
res\empty.fnd was added (it is a 0 byte file)
res\gwrap.exe was replaced by res\pealauncher.exe
res\pea.exe was updated
res\lang\en.txt was updated
res\lpaq\lpaq8.exe was added
res\themes\crystalc\addsearch.bmp was added
res\themes\tango\addsearch.bmp was added
Support update: lpaq8, smzip, u3p, custom (allows arbitrary executable to be used for archiving / extraction)
Fixes (Windows):
Fixed bug in opendialog and processmessages handling that on some systems may randomly cause application to crash or to remain invisible in 1.* versions
False positive issue (Windows):
From release 2.0 I'll use http://www.virustotal.com online service as reference for testing packages (as whole and disassembled as single executables: exe, dll, sfx) with 30+ online scanners: I'll submit false positive results to the attention of providers of each scanner for analisys, hoping in a quick correction of the false positive reports.
Btw, if someone has advices about the best ways to contact the labs of each provider of scanning tools, any hint is welcome and will speed up the process.
Roadmap: 2.* series is expected to be updated to next minor version (2.1, 2.2...) every 2-3 months, unless more urgent update is needed.
Thank you all for your attention and for your interest for PeaZip project!

Thanks for the update. I'm packaging 2.0 portable to go out as a development test right now.
Edit: It's done.

Thank you very much!
At a first analisys all seem ok.

Congrats on the release!
Do you have plans or a timeline for drag-and-drop support? That's still the biggest feature I'd like to see.
That'd be great.
I'm working on it, I hope to be able to implement drag and drop (from application to system) for Windows in one of the next updates.
