Password Manager

I have tried Roboform and Signup Shield, both U3 versions.

I need more than the free 10 logins that they offer.

I like the interface on both.

I have looked at other password managers but the others I have run into are more
secure storage and/or copy and paste. Too many steps for me. I use a computer because I and a typical American. I am lazy.

I am using FF for some of my passwords, but I would like to keep that info more secure.

Any user friendly, open source Password Managers that you know of?

Keepass

Have a look at this one, very good password manager which supports auto-type.

Yadabyte Passwords

Is an excellent program that is open-source and still extremely small.

No auto fill

Yadabyte seems to be just a storage program with encyrption. I don't see where it auto fills when you reach a particular web site.

Try again.

I tried an earlier version of Keepass but found it too complicated. I will look at it again and let you know.

Any other user friendly auto-fill password managers?

Sticky Password

Recently i have tried Sticky Password (http://www.stickypassword.com/)
from http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/
which support independent install in USB flash...Commercial ... but in my opinion is the best in market(even from roboform).

I tried installing that, it adds registry entries. Is there a workaround?

No need to install

The registry entries you refer to are .kdb file association, they can be removed/created from Tools/Options/Setup. They are set by default if you use the exe installer.
There's no need to install, use the zipped package instead ( KeePass-1.06.zip). Settings are stored on an .ini file located in the app's folder.

Try http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ - secure (from Bruce Schneier's Counterpane Labs), open source, and autofill for those (like me) who want that.

Wow.

Thanks for replying to my topic that I started almost 10 months ago.

I will try it. Seems like it has a disk-on-key option.

So far so good.

I have been very happy with it so far.

Just a few quirks. Not as intensive as Roboform or Signupshield, but quite a bit lighter.
