I recently read about this new program called Songbird. (Well, its new to me.)
Basically this program is based upon the Firefox Engine, but with a built in MP3 player included. When this program goes onto a site with links to MP3 files, the MP3 player boots up and lets you play the links on it.
This is an open source program. So I was wondering if you could turn it portable guys?
Here is the link Songbird Website.
Thanks.
See Portable Songbird?.
The short answer is no.
The short answer is maybe. The long answer is that the license that it is released under is very restrictive, but nm35 and I have tentatively started work on it. It will have to to be called something different as per the license agreement, we were thinking Portable Nightingale.

Ah ok. Thanks for all of your replies.
Keep me updated with the "Nightingale" Project.
Not much is going on right now... if you want to help, it would be greatly appreciated!

I've already been in touch with the development team regarding doing an official portable version. 0.1 is really proof-of-concept stage so we may be targeting the 0.2 release.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
You've got nm and I beat John, Portable Songbird is all yours (yours will probably be easier as you will have official right to make it).

In that case, let the tweeting begin...
Anyone here know any commandline switches for Songbird?
