It worked earlier today on my computer at work, now it starts, but won't connect to the 'net. Is it corrupted? If I re-install it, do I lose all my bookmarks and passwords? How do I re-install it without re-installing all the portable apps?

Did your firewall or proxy settings change?
That might cause problems.
I would suggest you download a new copy from the firefox page and reinstall. It wont affect your settings and will make sure you're using the latest version.

You can re-install the FFP and this won't your settings nor your passwords.
