Can't get Thunderbird Portable to send AOL mail

Thunderbird works fine for receiving and sending mail on my home computer but I can't get Thunderbird Portable to send mail using the same computer. Both are set up identically.

Any ideas?

Using version 2.00.12

Well, I've tried again with no luck. Surely someone can help.

Upgraded to 2.0.16
