firefox plugin portablelizer

Somehow only the instructions for portable flash are working for me. I know how to expose the full plugin path and I did move the plugins to my Firefox Portable Edition`s plugins folder. It worked on my local computer still fine with other paths.

But after trying it on a foreign comp no other plugin did work, only flash.

How I wish it to work...
1) I install Firefox on my home computer.
2) I also get Firefox Portable Edition.
3) Installing all plugins I need (flash, windows media player firefox addon, real alternative, quicktime alternative) on my local comp.
4) Use the firefox plugin portablelizer to let him copy all needed stuff to firefox.

advantages:
- No illegal things, no need to repackage or redistribute any proprietary plugins. Copying them local is fine.
- We can travel Firefox Portable and enjoy using also plugins.

FEBE

There is an extension that you can install into Firefox called FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension). I would suggest that you install this extension and then configure the extension and then perform a backup of all the extensions that you wish to copy over to your portable. From there, just manually install FEBE into your Firefox Portable and then restore your extensions. By the way, why would you want to maintain two installations of Firefox? Just plug in your PortableApps drive whenever you need to use FF and run directly from the PA menu. That is what I do and that works better for me than having to perform updates and configurations on two different installations of FireFox.

plugins != extensions

With plugins I mean NO extensions.

Most extensions are portable as soon firefox is portable. Extensions add new functions to firefox and are all listed inside the addon manager.

Plugins help the browser to show content he can not view, for example flash or windows media videos. Them are listed on about:plugins.

Actually,

Some plugins DO add features, like security, pop up blocking, performance enhancing, download managers, and more. Plugins can change a lot.

Actually, all those things

Actually, all those things you listed are extensions, not plugins. Plugins are the Adobe PDF plugin, the WMP plugin, the flash plugin, the shockwave plugin, and any others that I missed. as jps said, plugins help the browser display content, and that's all they do.

These are the plugins.

Yes, and therefore I suggest a plugin portable maker.
