Hi all,
I don't know if anyone will be able to help me with this, but I've put all my Outlook Express emails into Thunderbird Portable, but this morning, I opened Outlook Express and saw that I had 1 or 2 more emails that only just came in. Is there a way I can just import those emails, rather than having to take Thunderbird off and put all the emails back on again. I'm scared to do the Import feature again, just in case I get double-ups on emails that are already in Thunderbird Portable. I really need to know ASAP because I'll be going a way today to my Grandparents' house. I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me out!

Then try and import the mail again, if it works then use that folder (you can rename it anything you want), if it doesn't work, then just trash the copy. If you do that and have POP mail accounts, make sure you choose to "leave messages on the server" so both copies will retrieve the new mail.
Firstly, I'm really sorry to say this, but I'm quite new to using Thunderbird, so I have no idea how to do much in Thunderbird, I checked in Outlook Express to see if I can export to a file, when I go to File -> Export and click on Messages, a box came up telling me that it would either export the emails into Outlook (MS Office) or Microsoft Exchange, so I think that is out of the question.
Secondly, can you please tell me what Thunderbird Portable folder needs to be copied so I don't do a mistake? I've really got no idea what to do as I don't know much about Thunderbird Portable. What am I supposed to try and do. I'm afraid this is one I can only do step-by-step because I find I'm a little confused by the following message:

arizona say was basically: "take a new copy of Thunderbird Portable and inport everything again" (if I understood him correctly). So maybe thats an option if you didnt change a lot in you current Thunderbird. Just keep the old one as a backup until you imported everything into a new Thunderbird.

also, once you get your thunderbird all set up, make a copy of the entire folder and if you have POP accounts, execute the "copy" every so often to grab messages or copy the "Mail" folder over to the TBP copy. It's best to do this every time you flush your isp's mail account.
This is terrific, thanks for telling me about that! Now I can basically keep my Outlook Express email and Thunderbird Portable emails in sync! I also made sure I told the programs to keep a copy of the emails on the server, at least they'll both get them all now!
