i have 2 different folder, which is one is firefox portable only
and the other +plugin
the one with plugin i change the exe into FirefoxPortable + Plugin.exe
both of them i try to run (i often use the +plugin one), and i notice the FirefoxPortable.exe (clean one) and FirefoxPortable + Plugin.exe will disappear and only show firefox.exe at task manager
if i remember correctly since i installed this and after a few days use, it supposed to be show 2 processes at task manager the firefox.exe and the FirefoxPortable + Plugin.exe, for example...
but now(lately) the portable exe just disappear, after seconds i executed it....
is this normal ?
Donny,
See this post for some more info on the subject:

I myself am kind of confused as to when it FFP should terminate early and when it shouldn't. Mine always stays around till the end.
Do You have a local install of FF in addition to FFP?
If not, have you had a crash of FF recently?
If not, do you have this folder on your harddrive when FF IS NOT RUNNING:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox ???

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
i use all portable apps now, i only have xp original (no sp)+sound driver+cable modem driver at system
i think i never crashed the app (the firefox portable)
i have that folder event im not running this firefox,
so what do i need to do ? it should be stay until i close the app right ?
[edit] im using 2.0.0.13 btw,
i have Tell me more English (a learning language program) installed also, which is a normal program, not portable
if i cant remember, this program install flash player, the program use that...but i cant tell, i forget....
but if i run the program, i rember it always saying at the opening 'macromedia flash enabled'
but this info too much, in my opinion, we are dealing with portable apps, it supposed to be 'alone'
when i browse to flash website, flash also not showing properly (which i like the way it is, becos flash website slowdown my pc), it show only green puzzle asking 'click here to dl plugin'
i also have britannica 2008 ultimate portable, but i think the 'problem' show up before i ever run this britannica
i just get suspicous becos of that tell me more english program...
on a second though, i was a few times, may be one or three, kill the firefox.exe or the portable exe one....
Here are the conditions under which the launcher stays running -
1. you use the FirefoxPortable.ini file
2. '%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox' directory DOES NOT exist
3. '%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports' directory DOES exist
4. '%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions' directory DOES exist
I'm going to guess you have an empty '%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox' directory hanging around??
