I found an application that checks and repairs MP3 files. It's actually a command line app with 2 different GUI's available for it, one written in python, and the other in what the website calls a "native windows application"
Discription from website:
MP3val is a small, high-speed, free software tool for checking MPEG audio files' integrity. It can be useful for finding corrupted files (e.g. incompletely downloaded, truncated, containing garbage). MP3val is also able to fix most of the problems.
License: Open Source
website: http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/index.shtml
It looks like it's written in C++
give it a go.
Its not too hard and looks like a simple but nice tool.
Its still beta but I didnt find any errors.
