Hi,
I've an instance of Thunderbird on my pen drive, and another on local pc disk, I forgot to uncheck automatic update on thunderbird portable and now in Tools -> Option -> Update (Show Update history) there is an installation pending. There is a way to force Thunderbird not to update?
I read there is some problems with auto-update.
Thanks in advance
Marco
where you 1. click on tools 2. click on options 3. click on advanced tab 4. make sure check for updates of thunderbird is unchecked.
I keep the add-ons thing checked, as there shouldn't be any problem with that aspect of tbp and auto-updates.
Unless there is and I don't know what it is, besides that some add-ons can't be portablized because of how they were written in the first place, but since that is an add-on, it's not under tbp's pervue.

update your pen drive version to the latest 2.0.0.14 by using the latest package available on this site. Then download the latest standard install from mozillas website and install it. Now you should have a clean install on your usb drive, a clean one on your HDD and nothing pending anymore.
