How to distribute my portable applicaton?

Hi,

I have a Portable Applicaton. Thing is, it is not an open source project. What are the requirements to distribute my potable application on this site? I am new to this group

Thanks,
biju

Well, the guidlines are...

They have to be OSS.
I'm sorry, but unless perhaps your project's license allows redistribution and modification, and John (the founder/lead dev) puts more exceptions on the installer, then you can.
So what does your app do?
Oh, and welcome to PortableApps.com :D.

Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.

well...

as far as i know, you can post a link to your installer or the files but it has to be a self promotion, meaning that you and everyone else are consent on the fact that it is closed source. otherwise you are free to link us to it! (As far as i know)

**Edit** once again we cant host them or have sourceforge host them.

If you are the author of the original application, would you consider making it open source?

If not, you can post a package that includes all of the PortableApps.com Format stuff except for the [AppName]Portable/App/[AppName] directory. You may post a link to the base application and post instructions for users to be able to add the base app into your launcher package.

He's right, there are launchers posted for Project 64, Halo, Google Earth, Limewire, and more.
