I tried to compile a CD with HTML- and PDF-documents. "portable firefox" should display the HTML-documents. "portable sumatra" should display the PDF-documents. "portable firefox" should start with a local stored page on inserting the CD into the drive. The HTML-pages have links that call the PDF-files.
I installed "portable firefox" as explained at the "portableapps.com" site.
I set "portable sumatra" as helper application to handle documents of the PDF-type according to the "Configuring Helper Apps (PDF reader, document viewers, etc)" at the "portableapps.com" site. Subsequently I copied the "firefoxportable.ini" file into the "portable firefox" folder to prepare "portable firefox" for running from a CD. At least I hanged the "local homepage" item to a site inside the "EigeneDokumente" folder.
Starting "portable firefox" by clickling the icon in the folder on the harddisc the programm works properly. "portable firefox" starts with my selected local homepage. Clicking on a adequate link inside the HTML-page "portable sumatra" starts automatically and opens the corresponding PDF-document.
"portable firefox" starts automatically and works properly also using a CD. Clicking on a adequate link inside the HTML-page failes. Instead of starting "portable sumatra" the message "The helper application doesn't exist." appears.
I find out that "portable firefox" saves the path to the "SumatraPDFPortable.exe" location in the "FirefoxPortable/Data/Profile/mimeTypes.rdf" file.
Seemingly the path is saved in a absolute notation (e.g. "X:\folder\subfolder1\SumatraPDFPortable\SumatraPDFPortable.exe").
Is it possible to change the path to a notation relatively to the "portable firefox" folder location before burning the CD?
