Thanks...

Thanks, that's what I figured...I use Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004 (yes it's Macromedia, not Adobe) just because my brother had it, so I got it for free. I'll probably get PS CS3 someday...

gimp

and if you don't want to pay $600 for Photoshop, GIMP can do almost all the same things and is 100% free, in case you didn't already know. (btw, plz nobody turn this into another gimp vs photoshop thread)

paint.net is pretty sweet

paint.net is pretty sweet too, and has a more intuitive interface than GIMP.

gimp and paint.net are free

gimp and paint.net are free but why you sold 600 bugs??? you sold it not for free, with both free apps you cant handle all the layer-, fontstyle or other effects completely...
this both apps are good but not good enough (for my works Wink )....

True...

I started out with Paint.NET but outgrew it real fast...main reason was that it didn't have vector capabilities (eg. make a drop shadow...if you want to adjust it, you've got to delete the layer and make it again!)
