Portable Desktop Search? PortableCopernic perhaps?

... and FREE.

Would be nice to carry indexes of all your PCs around with you on the USB drive. At any moment, you could locate any file, directory or other and identify on which PC it lives.

Gaviri works well, but its paidware. How about PortableCopernic perhaps? Its fast and got a good interface.

Unfortunately Copernic is not a SF project ... here is the link though. http://www.copernic.com/

There seems to be a big gap in this space for portableUSB search tools.
