Error when trying to backup certain directory name scheme

Hi,

I try to backup a folder named "ThunderbirdPortable AAAAAAAAAA@a-aaaaaa.aa".
This is the error print after starting:

""
Starting...

Scanning

C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\user\Desktop\ThunderbirdPortable AAAAAAAAAAa-aaaaaa.aa\: WARNING: Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden.

Creating archive F:\jabber.7z

WARNINGS for files:

C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\user\Desktop\ThunderbirdPortable AAAAAAAAAAa-aaaaaa.aa\ : Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden.

----------------
WARNING: Cannot find 1 file
""
The German means that "the system cannot find the given path".

Can anyone reproduce that error?

Or did I find a bug?

Thx for your help,

Raubsau

Hmm

this isnt specifically a Toucan bug as 7zip (the program) is used for backup, I shall take a look in the documentation and see why it is rejecting that name, it could well be a bug with long filename handling, if you try it from a shorter directory name does it work?

1. Will NOT work if the

1. Will NOT work if the folder's name is ThunderbirdPortable AAAAAAAAAA@a-aaaaaa.aa (containing @).
2. Will NOT work if the folder's name is ThunderbirdPortableAAAAAAAAAA@a-aaaaaa.aa (containing @).
3. Will NOT work if the folder's name is ThunderbirdPortable A@a-a.a (containing @).
4. Will NOT work if the folder's name is a@b.c (containing @).

5. Will WORK if the folder's name is ThunderbirdPortable Aa-a.a (NOT containing @).
6. Will WORK if the folder's name is ThunderbirdPortable AAAAAAAAAAa-aaaaaa.aa (NOT containing @).

I guess the character @ is the faulty one.

(And by chance - could you implement a dropdown box to choose the Compression Ratio?

I'd like to use Toucan as a tool to backup as follows: Folder 1, 2 and 3 from Desktop and some from C:\X packed into 1 encrypted archive (.7z) but without any compression and always only adding new/changed files.)

Thx alot!
