But you are absolutely right, it would be nice with a
top-quality explorer-replacement.
XYplorer would be perfect as it has this nice "portable file-associations" feature but again,it isn't open-source
The lite version is 'free', but not 'FOSS'. Because this site and the packages presented are required to be GPL (or similar) licensed, xplorer2lite cannot be included at this time. However, the SmithTech version is completely compatible (I use it with thanks!) with PAM and is repackaged with the author's permission.
