Email is gone!!!

I recently added another account to my Thunderbird portable email. I then decided that I didn't really need the other email account, so I deleted it. Now, all of my email that I had stored on there is gone. Folders and all. When I go into my flash drive, I can still see the folders listed in there, but then don't show in Thunderbird. It seems to have created a new email folder. It now has a -1 at the end. How do I get all of my email back to the way it was?

Email is gone!!!

Or if maybe there is a way to move all Thunderbird email & old Outlook email into one folder and be able to view it that will be good. It doesn't have to show in Thunderbird for me to be happy.

Thanks!

it was previously in TB?

Now these are emails from a pop or imap account? Or are you trying to get emails that you moved to the Local Folders?
I've been able to move old TB and TBP files to my new one w/o a problem, I copied the whole folder in the Mail folder in the profile.

One time that happened to me,

One time that happened to me, and I re-indexed the folders and all the messages came back.

I wasn't dealing with multiple accounts or anything, but I thought I would mention it.

All my account profile is gone

How did you re-index the folders? I can see all the data files in windows explorer, but the account settings is gone.

Thanks.

you may also try ...

just a new clean install of tbp, and then copy the old folders to the new version.

Yeah, back up you old version before you do anything else so you have an archived version, and a playwithit version.

Right click on the
  1. Right click on the folder
  2. Choose Properties
  3. Under the "General Information" tab, click the "Rebuild Index" button.
  4. Repeat for each folder you want to re-index.
