Please...

... it's the topic right below this one.

Please make an attempt to search in the future. Also, please don't request app updates or ask when they will come. They will come when they come.

Welcome to PortableApps.com. Smile

Running 2 & 3 simultaneously

Is there a post on how to run an installed version 2 & portable version 3 simultaneously? The only thing I found was a post on how to run two portable versions at the same time here - https://portableapps.com/news/2008-05-19_-_firefox_portable_3_rc_1#comme...

I have 2 installed and setup the way I want it, but I'd like to test/play w/version 3 RC2 separately (and not in a VM).

Thanks

You can't run two instances

You can't run two instances of different versions of firefox at the same time. They use the same process name and they both have built-in checks to see if another version is running.

I don't think that's true.

I don't think that's true. I'm pretty sure I've done it in the past.

Edit - here it is...

RC1 & RC2 LAUNCHER

The RC1 firefox launcher seems to work on my home pc's both being Vista however my work PC - XP Pro - the launcher does not appear on the Portable Apps menu with correct Icon Nor does it Launch the application - it has a default windows EXE type Icon - to get RC1 to run I need to explore to the EXE file within the application.

Happened with RC1 and still happening with the RC2 version
