Where is the profile located? And how do I go about creating a new one and then switching over my bookmarks and extensions?

For a local one Firefox has a profile manager. See here for more infos.
For a new portable profile the best way is to just rename the /Data folder. That makes Firefox start with a new profile. The profile manager switch doesnt work for Firefox portable!
