I use tb 2.0.0.14 on a 2 GB USB Stick with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
In only some weeks the datas of tb got so much, that I had to delete some other folders on the stick. But now, again after only some weeks, there are only left about 45 MB space on the stick. I deleted many E-Mails, some with big attachments - but it didn't have any effect. I have the impression, that in about two weeks the stick is again totally full. What can I do?

to see what is being saved to it. Are they junk emails? Temp files? Is it your Trash folder getting full?
Of course, if they are all good emails, it could be just that you need a bigger stick, though it seems like you are getting stuff that you don't know about.
Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.
To understand that, you have to know how Thunderbird saves your emails. For every folder you have it has 2 files: One with all the emails and attachments in it and one that says if the email is deleted or not and other stuff. So if you delete an email, it doesnt get deleted it just gets marked as deletable and if you compact your folders, Thunderbird will delete it. Thats so Thunderbird doesnt have to write to the big file with all your emails very often.
Read more about it here on MozillaZine.

That was really useful: I got 630 MB (!) additional space! Thank you!!
