When I initially installed portableapps on my thumb drive I was able to import all of my info from my outlook express program. When I upgraded to the new version of TBP there were some issues that came about. Now, long story short, I still have the folder with my saved outlook express mail, but I can't get TBP to show the folder so I can access the messages. Would anyone have any suggestions how I can go about getting TBP to show the folder.
Thanks!
Hi I'm having a similar problem to this. I can't import my PST file into TBP Ive tried ReadPST, Gmail Loader and the the import PST add on. So success on any. I cant do a direct import as I'm on a state network and when I tried got a heap of folders coming up that had nothing to do with me. So what i think I need is a PST to MBOX converter so i can then import my mail. Does anyone know where I can find a good freeware app for this that will run on XP SP2 or SP3? Also if there is another more efficient way of doing this please let me know.
many thanks

I recently got a copy of Aid4Mail which converts PSTs into the thunderbird MBOX format. I haven't used it myself yet as I am going to wait the extra six weeks until my current contract is over before converting my work PST all at once rather than incrementally. I've looked around on the net and according to the sites I've checked this is one of the best email converters. If ggrosser or anyone else wants a copy of this please email me at
I'm pretty sure if I posted the link here it would be against the regulations and I appreciate the people here at PA.com too much to keep posting the link when they delete so email me and I'll send you the link. Will be uploaded to mediafire and when I downloaded it came through a government firewall, there's McAfee on the machine I downloaded it onto and I took it home and installed it to my computer which has CA anti-virus without any issues so though I don't know much about malware I am confident all of that means it should be a clean file.
(Also if the posting of my email to send the link is against the rules please delete this comment. I hope you can see I'm trying to comply with the rules)

I'll shoot you an email about that, Thanks!
One question about that though. Once it converts the mail to be compatible with TBP, does it let you rename the folder and items inside or how does it work? I haven't used anything like that before. Do you know?
Thanks.

But according to reviews it is the best converter so one would expect it to be able to perfrm the functions you need. Sorry can't be more help.
