I just downloaded and installed the final of FF3 portable. However, I can't install my favorite extension: Foxmarks. It consistently throws me an error when clicking Install: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption).
The fix on the Foxmarks wiki (restarting FF) doesn't help: http://wiki.foxmarks.com/wiki/Foxmarks:_Frequently_Asked_Questions#Download
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Update: there's lots more extensions that give the same problem. Am I doing something wrong? These extensions all used to work fine in FF3 RC1 portable.

When I try to download, I get a message saying that Foxmarks isn't compatible. What should I do?
First, make sure that you are in fact running a compatible version of Firefox (currently 1.5 though 2).
Request that they update the extension[Now called Addons]

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Sorry, but Foxmarks is already compatible with 3.0. See: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/2410
And as I mentioned, the addon(s) worked fine in FF3 RC1 portable.

I understood that, but this is Not RC1, is it, and it's not working.
I based my reply on the link you provided.
Are you able to get it to install in the Non-Portable version?
If not, this is something you need to take up with the Foxmarks people or Mozilla.
If yes, than we need assistance from someone who knows more about foxmarks than me.
Sorry,

That's curious because I installed it on Firefox 3 portable and it works. I really don't know why it's not working for you...
Eric
I had the same problem as you last week.
Apparently, some times the extension configuration files can get corrupted.
To fix this follow the link bellow.

Alive and kicking!
"If you were a robot, and I knew but you didn't, would you want me to tell you?"
I don't know what happened, but I tried again today and now installation works for all the addons that did not work yesterday. Maybe it was the reboot that did it, maybe it was just a busy day on the internet yesterday that caused problems.
Anyway: solved!
Thanks for all the help.
