PortApps for this dummy

Stupid question? When I use PortApps do I leave behind websites visited, videos and music played or the web based e-mail apps name? What do I leave behind?

No PERSONAL Data

When using PortableApps, all the possibles are made for making sure no personal Data is left behind. So, while there may be some leftovers from your apps, websites, videos, music, e-mails, and other personal stuff is not left behind.

Hope to have helped, and welcome to PortableApps, FiredFox!

If I download a crack of the net through FFP will the IT guys here at work be able to see what I downloaded or just that I did a download of so and so size?

It depends.

If the IT guys have a traffic monitor, it would be much easier to enforce your company's Acceptable Use Policy without having to look at each individual machine. If not, it depends on your configuration and how thorough their forensics are. There are simple methods around the problem, but invoking those methods (especially too often) may be sufficient to arouse suspicion. It's the standard game of cat-and-mouse...

Companies generally frown upon users performing illegal activities with company resources — and with good reason.

P.S. This isn't the kind of site that helps users trade in war3z.
