I updated my portable Compact Flash Card image on my hard drive with Portable Firefox 3 to make sure everything functioned properly. Firefox 3 will not run whereas Firefox 2.0.0.14 runs perfectly. Non-portable Firefox 3 runs fine. I installed a copy of FF3 RC2(portable) and I have the same problem. Does anyone have an idea of what needs to be changed to correct this problem? System AMD dual core 4600+ with 2GB ram.

What's the full path to where you have it installed?

c:\USBKEY2\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\ is the path. I created the USBKEY2 folder and installed PortableApps using PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_1.1.exe. Then I started the Startportableapps and installed PortableFirefox3 using the options/install new program. (Firefox 2.0.0.14 installs and runs perfectly.) Installing Firefox3 and starting it from the menu asks whether to enable session restore or not. I selected to not enable and then I get a message from the Crash Reporter "The application had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately the crash reported is unable to submit a report for this crash. Details: The application didn't leave an application data file." Each time I try to start the program I get the same error message.
I hope this will give enough information to solve my problem.
The solution to my problem was that I had regular Firefox 3 installed on my system.
Once I removed FF3 and reinstalled PFF3 everything works fine.
