portable FFox 3.0 identifies itself as
"Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5"
If it's only beta, why doesn't portableapps list it as being only beta?...
(Must be that's why it won't allow me to DL and install other themes)
Puzzling indeed.
And a tad disappointing...
P.S. - And while I'm on a roll, what's the diff 'twixt a beta and a release candidate?... (while running beta 5, I got a popup offering to DL "RC2"...)
Portable FF 3.0(non-beta) released already

why still use Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5?
...that's exactly what I'm talking about.
I DL'd "Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 3" from this site, installed it, and ran it.
When I clicked the Help>> About menu, I got "...beta 5" displayed...YESTERDAY, that is....................................
...
...
...
Oddly enuff, when I RE-dl'ed it tonite after reading yer post, NOW it shows up as "3" (no "beta 5" appellation)., Go figure...................
*SO*, John, why this discrepancy betwixt yesterday and today?...
C'mon, fess up, guy..................
BTW, I STILL can't DL themes for v3, as the button to do so is (still) greyed out when I click "Tools>> Add-ons"

Well, I have 7 themes installed on FFP3 so far.
Try downloading them here: http://addons.mozilla.org/?application=firefox
P.S: My FFP3 don't have any "grayed out" button on Tools>Addons.
Alive and kicking!
