Using PortableAppsBackup and -Restore without the PortableAppsSuite

Hejhej!

I have FF3 and TB2 Portable allready installed on my PC an would like to use the Backup function of PortableAppsSuite.

What I tried is this:
- copied the PortableAppsBackup-folder somewhere else
- launched PortableAppsBackup seperately from the Suite from the new folder
- started a "Complete" backup

I guess that's not what I wanted Wink

Of course there are other backup programs, but this is the only one I found, which I can run, it knows the location of my PortableApps(-Profiles) and backs it up to a 7zip-file.
But this only works for the PortableAppsSuite-folder, right? Can it be modified, so I can state the path of my already installed Apps?

Best regards

Cathryne

PS: Does someone know an opensource equivalent of Syncback? That would solve my problem much more easyly Smile

Toucan

I'd try Toucan. It's open source and developed to be fully portable. You can find the version here and the pre-release of Toucan 2 here
I hope this is what you were looking for and if not then please report back.
Welcome to PortableApps.com btw! Smile

Ask

Well if you have any questions about how toucan works then you can always ask in the Toucan forum. I'm sure you'll be helped out asap! Before you do so though please read the help file located in the Toucan installation folder (help.html). (If you haven't done so already!)
The update will not change much about the way Toucan works.
