Hi,
I have installed the latest download of PFF3 and when I visit my internet mail (privately hosted) with an expired self-signed certificate I can't access the site. I get an alert with a cryptic (ie programmer message) and an OK button, but no option to force the site to load.
This was the behaviour I experience during the FF3 Betas.
Is there some way to enable the FF3 behaviour?
Does the message appear in a dialogue box?
If so, I believe it's related to one of your preferences.
In Firefox, open a blank window, then type about:config
Then search for the parameter: browser.xul.error_pages.enabled
Invert the value if needed, and make sure it is TRUE (the default value)
Since you're there, change the next parameter:
browser.xul.error_pages.expert_bad_cert : make it TRUE
Basically, the first parameter also influences the way messages appear on screen when a website doesn't reply. You will now get the default Firefox 1.5+ behaviour rather than what was the behaviour under Firefox 1 and Seamonkey.

Thanks, that worked a treat.
