To answer your first question, yes. It does exist.
I figure that if we develop it from the start, the end result should work flawlessly. Also, putting out and distributing this should help speed up alpha and beta testing, and everybody knows they want a shiny new firefox version.
EDIT: Also, I'm a bit slow tonight. All of Firefox's Alpha releases have Minefield tagged onto them.

Firefox 4 Alpha, AKA "Minefield"
This site doesn't do alpha quality apps portable until they are at least a strong beta unfortunetly, we had to wait for a wrapper for Firefox 3 until it hit at least a beta

It does not exist. Development on Firefox 4 is non-existent. However, there is development on Firefox 3.1.
This isn't even alpha level quality yet. These are nightly builds (pre-alpha or pre-pre-alpha) and could blow up your computer.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
LOL, with a name as minefield
Ditto to all the above,
But

When FF4P reaches testing stage we expect you to still be around to do the testing

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Firefox 4 is expected to be released late 2009... That being said, it should be pretty slick when it gets here.
EDIT: Also, I'm a bit slow tonight. All of Firefox's Alpha releases have Minefield tagged onto them.
Minefield is the name for all unbranded builds (alpha or otherwise) of Firefox. Mozilla doesn't brand any of their alpha builds so that they aren't confused for an at least somewhat stable browser.
