Using Weave with FF3 Portable

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has had luck getting FFE & Weave (replacement for google browser sync) working. Currently it is working as expected on my home desktop, however, I'm not having any success logging into Weave via FF3 portable on my USB drive from my office computer.

I have removed the addon, re-nstalled multiple times but can't get by the login.

Anyone else tried it out yet?

Weave appears to be a great replacement for GBS.

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Weave / FF3 Portable Update

It appears the problems I was seeing were totally on the Weave side. Mozilla team has released a new version of the addon today and fixed the server side issues. I am now able to log in and have my data sync.

One interesting item is that the browser sync, like Google Browser Sync, does not appear to be working as GBS did. Not sure if my expectations are off or if it is a functionality issue at this time.

Using the last two releases I

Using the last two releases I have a sporadic issue of Weave taking a looong time to sync and FF (NOT FFP) doesn't release after.

I agree with the comments on the Weave boards... GBS was faster and easier to use. Google just messed over quite a few loyal users dropping that one.

give weave a break

i think your expecting to much of weave its a "early prototype" where as Google browser sync was first released publicly who knows how long Google had that hiding away in development for

so give weave a break

uninstalled

I finally just uninstalled Weave. There isn't a use for it with FFP. Now if you use FF at home and at work and want to go back and forth then sure. But I take my FF with me and only need to save sessions, so the default or TabMixPlus versions will work to do that.
