PNotes confusion

I'm getting confused by the two versions of PNotes that are being put out in the Beta forums. It seems that oliverk and lamer are competing, rather than cooperating. The result is my wanting to use stickies instead. What is going on and which version of PNotes is the beta of an official release?

Holy Crap! Nope. I'm not

Holy Crap!

Nope. I'm not competing. lamer writes the original program, and, until later, is a better programmer then I am.

PNotes 3.5 is the official release. Both from lamer and from myself. My release contains the wrapper that redirects the setting into Data/settings.
Here is the link: https://portableapps.com/apps/office/pnotes_portable

PNotes 4x is a beta release of the PNotes 4x series lamer is currently writing. It is currently only in the forums. It is lamer's program with the wrapper to redirect the settings.
The thread for the PAF'd version is https://portableapps.com/node/14272/.
The thread for the beta is https://portableapps.com/node/14266/

I do this because its relatively easy and some people test the with the PAF'd version. The end result, is I get the wrapper checked over and lamer gets the program looked at.

I'm sorry for any confusion I may have caused by doing this.

LOL

Maybe, just maybe, change the name to something like PNotes paf version... just in case... Wink

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

paf'd version ...

doesn't that just mean it's a launcher? Why not call it that? We've got other programs that are launchers only.

Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.

PNotes vs PNotes Portable

They're labeled differently now. PNotes is the standard version. PNotes Portable is the one we bundle in the suite and make available here. Our version has always been called PNotes Portable.
