Ok I would like to know if I am able to have in instances of Firefox on my Portable Apps Platform?
I already have FF2 on it and would like to put FF3 on it. There are a few add-on's that FF3 still dosen't have so that is why I still FF2 around.
I have no intention of running both at the same time either.
you can have them in separate folders in the PortablerApps folder. You just have to manually change the installations folder of FF3 to something different than the standard.

How do I do that?
As you're running through the PortableApps.com Installer, it will ask you for the path to install to. By default, it will choose X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable. You can change that to X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable3 or something similar.
They'll both show in the menu as "Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition" but the shorter directory name (your version 2) will show up first.

Worked like a charm.
Beside the option John described there is a second one. Rename the existing directory "FirefoxPortable" of your flash drive to "Firefox2Portable" or similar. After this you can install FF3 the usual way and use both versions alternatively.
