Documents missing

Hi,
I have Portable apps loaded on a flash drive and last used them yesterday. Problem is I filed everything in a "documents folder" and this afternoon the folder has been replaced with a file whereas it used to be a folder. Can anybody help

I'm not sure I understand what happened.
You have a usb drive that has PortableApps installed inside.
You created a new folder called "documents folder" then did what?
Also, what has become of the folder?

Chkdsk?

Maybe you ran chkdsk to check your drives and it found some issues? That could result in a file as you mentioned it.
