Can't delete old Firefox folder.

Due to a blank (0 byte) bookmark file can't delete a folder containing a previous Firefox. I've tried deleting it in different PCs and with third party apps but without success. Can someone tell me how to resolve this? Thanks.

Ok...

Lets try this:

  1. Right click the file, and select properties. Uncheck the "Read Only" switch. Try to delete the file.
  2. Didn't work? Then get Unlocker and right click and run it. Free all processes. Try to delete the file.
  3. Didn't work again? Get a Linux Live CD (Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Knoppix, Puppy, DSL, anyone works) and boot from the cd. Mount your pendrive/hard drive/wherever you keep your FF install and delete the file.
  4. Didn't work? Then I am clueless. Pardon

Blue is everything.

What is the error message?

What is the error message? "Can not delete : It is being used by another program or person", if it is make sure you close Firefox before you delete it.

use checkdsk

open explorer rightclick on drive symbol from context choose properties/tools(extras)/check drive now. When chckdisk starts, it will convert your broken file into a windows file you can delete.
If that doesn´t work, let your drive plugged in reboot, chkdisk will start and convert the broken files..
