Blender and Audacity

I have working portable versions with the same setup as the other apps ready to go.. as well as a few others (actually, it's like 10 now). I'm just sticking to my 1 or 2 apps a day thing to keep things running smoothly. The Portable GIMP and Portable VLC releases both wound up getting Dugg (Digged?) and I'd like to keep our new server happy Smile

Today's release will probably be Portable ClamWin. I'm putting the finishing touches on.

Yay!

Too bad I can't download, cause I'm over the recommended limit for today. (see http://netusage.mozdev.org/ )

Didn't know that...

Being in the US with "unlimited" bandwidth (read: unlimited unless the ISP thinks you're using too much and yells at you) I forget that a lot of people are metered. That definitely adds to the reason to do self extracting archives... and makes me want to get a move on and convert the other apps to use them.

Side note: even with unlimited... I still can't get the best upload/downloads, though. I have 4M down/ 384K up right now (which is why uploads of Portable OO.o take so long). And I can't really get a whole lot faster within NYC to a residence. The most I can get is 6MB down / 768K up for US$100 a month. The US is so far behind other first-world countries with broadband it's just sad.

Stop Replying So Quick

I have an odd habit of spell-checking after I submit. I was getting to my "limitted" typos Blum

Moinmoin

I've just moved my copy of Moinmoin Desktop into the Portable apps directory & it's picked it up.
Excellent
