Thunderbird Portable is awesome!

Usually, people only post when they have a problem. This time I just wanted to say that Thunderbird Portable is awesome! So far I have not had any problems with it after installing it three weeks ago. Keep up the good work! It is the perfect solution for people on the go. Now they just need to make a Thunderbird Webmail version! haha

Thanks,
HW15

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

Found this to be the worst portableapp

I get eternal connection timeouts although yeah it did work initially sometimes.
It hangs sometimes when I access one particular account always, although not the others.

These timeouts don't occur in the regular version.

I have posted this before. Have seen this problem being faced by several others, but no response or solution.

I agree

Thunder Portable is an awesome app. Extremely handy. Though I haven't encountered many issues (Only issue has been folder created on host system because i installed Australian dictionary) I would further recommend Tim's suggestion. Backup. I found you dont really need to back up the whole of Thunderbird, in my case just my profile which contains all my emails. This way I am able to use Toucan to sync between Thunderbird at home and my portable hard drive. This way I always have access to all my emails all the time. If you use Gmail you can also use imap for free as well.

All I need now is a good way to import all my emails\calendar\contacts from my work outlook account into Thunderbird Portable without admin rights for installing Thunderbird on host system. When this is accomplished I can banish Outlook 2007 from my home pc :o)

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin
