The goal is to be able to open videos from firefox and Queue them to a playlist on Mplayer or VLC, saving the pain of having multiple instances of each program open. Is there anyway to accomplish this using cafe mod and Mplayer or VLC?

This may be answered better from the mplayer or vlc developers website than here, since it is more a feature of the program, not portabilzation.
