Plug ins

My firefox portable seems to be running the plug ins from my computer installation of firefox. Is this safe? Is this normal?

It's normal. But the safe part depends on the plug-in. I recommend doing this...
Go to --> Tools --> Options. Select the Applications tab, set all of those to "ask me every time" So you don't accidently use a plug-in on the host machine that would damage Firefox.
