Errrrr, anyone else have this problem?

Well, the 1.5.0.2 update runs fine for me. It does, however, break my ability to use Flash, or to reinstall flash, althought this may be an issue with macromedias site and not PFF. (says server not found.)

I use flash alot. My school uses it ALOT for instructional materials. (Flash papers).
And our school online learning center has flash elements that i can no longer use, not to mention Student Services.

I tried a fresh PFF installfrom sourceforge, did NOT install my extensions, in case one of them was the culprit, and updated to 1.5.0.2. Again, it broke. I luckily had a fresh backup. ( Monday night is my backup night, PHEW!!!).

I have one problem though. It REALLY wants to install 1.5.0.2. I said download later a couple of times, but it downloaded anyways on the last one, about 10 minutes ago. Now I'm afraid to close PFF. Any ideas anyone? Is this a FF issue in general? I've seen a couple of issues while browsing the mozillazine forums, but nothing about this.

If anyone has a clue drop me a note here. Im off to restore my backup again, and see what i can do about disabling updates.

Jacoby.

I have the Amazing Media

I have the Amazing Media Browser installed in my PFF that I have. I encounterred the same thing recently. It would try to download the flash animation and then it would stop and disappear when it was almost done. Come to find out, it was a setting in there that prevents embedded media from loading. Maybe the same thing? Check your options to ensure that you are not preventing any embedded media from loading.

You know that all you need is 2 DLL files inside your plugin folder to get F;ash and Shockwave support in your PFF right? Check the FAQS on adding plugins to PFF and it will tell you the 2 needed. I do this and never have any problems.

No prob!

No prob!

I pulled my hair out wondering the same thing and found that with no extensions that it worked but as soon as I added tha on back it didn't. That is when I found the option for the embedded media.

Glad it works for you now!! Good luck with your classes.
