Lost Flash Drive

I recently lost a flash drive....and after the fact remembered a thread somewhere that detailed at least one method to have a message appear on the screen when something like pstart ran.

My search skills are pretty bad....so I have yet to find it. If someone can point me to a way to do that, I'd really appreciate it.

thanks

Thom

It was made by ryan Smile

You have two options …

… you could install the "Help, I'm lost" from
http://www.dailycupoftech.com/have-your-lost-usb-drive-ask-for-help/
- or you could switch to geek.menu (an unofficial fork of portableapps.com) which has a built-in function to show a welcoming message (like "Please return my memory stick!") when plugged into an unfamiliar computer.

If you would find an lost USB

If you would find a lost USB drive, would you just run any executable on it? TBH I don't think I would or anyone should. A simple text file in the root of the drive might do wonders. Also make sure to protect your data on the drive in case of possible misuse of your personal data, just in case.
