I love fast dial, but I was wondering if there is anyway to add this add on on the portable edition.

The postings above are somewhat old but I am (still) using Fast Dial 4.12.2 by telega (http://www.userlogos.org/extensions/fastdial). The most recent version is 4.14.4 but that has some pretty serious quirks so I am using an older version. That works fine but it keep "calling home" to search for updates and there does not seem a way to turn this off. It appears every time I start Firefox and then reappears again after some hours. And yes, I have of course tried contacting the people who put out Fast Dial but of no avail - never an answer.
So I guess my question is: How to I stop Fast Dial from calling home?
