Installing to a CD-RW

I'm trying out the portable apps by installing the Suite Lite to a CD-RW (700mb). Yet, when I try to install, a message pops up saying that there is not enough room. I have just reformatted the CD-RW and still I'm unable to install. Is it possible to install to a CD-RW? Thanks
Roxy

btw...

it is EXTREMELY hard to keep PApps on a cd, even an re writable one, so dont make it your primary app source until you are 100% sure that it will work. also, CD-RW's can only handle so many read/write cycles so it is likely that it will start to fail after a while.

Using a CD-RW will be

Using a CD-RW will be unbearably slow. Use it as a very last resort.

Because...

people do suggest using DVD-RAM and DVD+RW for this type of storage because of their unlimited rewrites and fairly fast read/write speeds.

Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.

actually...

they only claim unlimited rewrites, but any media has a limit, it will last a long time but it will inevitably fail.

Live filesystem

Pretty sure Windows does this by default, but make sure the CD-RW is formatted as a live file system, allowing partial rewrites... it will basically act as a (very slow) flash drive.

Plus...

And make sure what ever pc you use the CD-RW on has the sw installed to support the live file system. Most pc's don't.

most?

All Windows XP and Windows Vista systems should, as long as they have a CD burner (not sure about 2000 but it might have it too).

None of mine

None of my XP machines have it installed and they have had several CD and DVD writers over the years. Because it interferes with other apps I may have uninstalled it but I installed a new DVD-RW a couple of months ago and I don't remember having to uninstall it.

In most cases I have found apps like InCD to be crap.

weird

Both my Vista laptop and XP desktop support it, and the desktop 6 years old.
