Firefox 2 portable has no back forward lists for the navigation buttons

Firefox 2 portable has no back forward lists for the navigation buttons

The drop down menu for the portable ff2 forward and back buttons are empty no matter how many page i've gove through. fix this please.

this is because the history is disabled. Is it?
