I use GSPlayer on my USB thumb-drive, my desktop, and my PocketPC. No issues with MP3 or Ogg. Website: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
For portable use, just grab the Windows version, unzip it, and place the entire folder on your USB stick. Around 400K.
Cheers,

Thank for this new one.

I prefer mv2-player - http://mv2.czweb.org .
It's something like Zoomplayer, but it's freeware! DVD, MPEG, MP3, etc. - it plays everything you want.

I use videolan, it is easy to install on a USB key and works for most formats.

Try this one. It does the lot.

Fusion uses the DirectShow filters installed on the computer, so it is NOT independent from the system.
I recommend a player that ships with it's own codecs, like MPlayer or VLC.
Otherwise you may run into a computer that is missing a codec needed to play the one video you need to watch *now*.
I use Billy, it's small and the 2 features I like about it is it loads all 500+ songs that I have in a second (literally) and I can control it from my keyboard (I just LOVE this feature)
