It would be great if somebody could create a portable version of GNS3.

Requesting GNS3

Hi,

I would like to see a portable version of GNS3 here.
It is Open Source and good for those learning Cisco networks.

I tried to fool around with

I tried to fool around with it, but it seems that GNS3 itself is quite simple and straight-forward to start up.
It's the engine that it runs "Dynamips". That's the pain cuz it looks like it uses WinPCAP to run etc...etc..etc...

Let's hope someone finds out how to get Dynamips to work.

wont work as a PAF

this wont work as a PAF file. also its not in good taste to post the same thing multiple times in a thread.

I have a question. Does Wireshark Portable use WinPCAP? If it does then how can you make Wireshark portable but NOT GNS3?
