If you add the plugin to the plugins folder in pidgin, it should work fine.

Yeah

As Gizmokid said, dropping it in App\Pidgin\plugins will do it. After the next release he makes I may make an installer for those who want it as it's really great, hopefully the tango icon is done for then too.
