When using the normal version of FF3 (or 2) when you click in the address bar, the currently listed URL will highlight as if a select all has been performed in the address bar.
The portable version does not and this has become extremely annoying since the address bar does not act as it should.
Any way to fix this with about:config or another means? Or was this feature removed because the feature was not liked by the "portablers" who put the app together?
Thanks.
This is simply an item in your about:config.
Firefox and FirefoxPortable both default to having this enabled, so you must have either modified it manually (but you'd remember doing that) or you installed an add-on or theme that modified it for you.
In any case, open your about:config (type it into the URL bar), and in the Filter bar, type browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll (Hint: you can also copy and paste it). Double-click on the line to change it from "false" to "true", then exit the about:config.
Change should happen right away, but if it doesn't, restart Firefox.

Thanks for the quick reply. And PFF actually defaults to false. I have no theme and I'm using a default set of add-ons that I use with normal FF that does not affect this setting.
Thanks for the tip!
There is no custom setting in Firefox Portable around this configuration option at all.
