I have tried to download the portable version of blender and keep getting a requested url not found error. Do you know about this and blender has been withdrawn or is there another way of getting it.

if you want a newer verison, download a zip archive and overwrite the files in x:\PortableApps\BlenderPortable\App\Blender
it works since the zip archive version itself seems to be a portablbe one, but it's not perfect yet.
Thanks for replying but I have actually downloaded the creator program and attempted to create my own version of it. Seems to be working ok at the moment for version 2.4.7.
