I notice in the GIMP Portable screenshot this is the editable Splash Screen for all Portable Apps. How I can I make one or can you send me the editable so I can make one, for like Chrome Portable or something.

You´re right, this is a "crystal" version of the icon (and some changes
)and the old splash. but dont forget its an unofficial splash, the originals are under copyright of John. john (and the creator of the splash) are the only person that have the unbrabded original splash (i think).
but you can find the original logo on wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Portable_apps_logo.png) in 128x128 resolution.

I do have a good template which I use to create temporary splash screens for test apps or to make some of the launchers I've made myself look better.
It looks almost like the real thing (I've only removed the end of the PortableApps.com URL at the bottom) but I'm afraid that I can't post any links to it here. Doing so might violate trademark and copyright laws.

You can replace the usb sticks once you've downloaded the splash screen I posted above, with GIMP and IconFX (google it).
And you can also make the bottom part of the Splash Screen with the same apps.
It might take an hour or two much the outcome will be great.

well, all of that helps, but isn't there someone who has the "GIMPPortable.psd" file for me to edit? If not, it'll be hard for me to make a splash screen replica myself...
Unfortunately the psd cannot be released. The PortableApps.com logo is a copyrighted symbol, and the font used is a non-free font, MetaBold LF, the same font the Mozilla apps use
