Themes?

Can you put themes into the portable version of FF?

I'm having some difficulty in searching the forums for this question. It seems it'd be a fairly simple thing, yet I don't see anything in FAQs or by doing a search. I have a full version of FF installed on the PC I am using and it seems as though the themes I am downloading are going to directories related specifically to that installation rather than the port. I am using the Port version's addon manager to try to install these.

I understand that when you want the plugins such as flash you have to copy the folder from the C:\Progra~m\Mozilla~\plugins directory. Is there something like this for the themes?

Normal

You do it just like normal. You use the AddOn manager within Firefox Portable. Just as you would with a local version.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I have the same problem,

I have the same problem, Lahru. Did you solve it?

I'm trying to install themes on my FF portable (noja, aero, office black...), noone works. Yes, they are in the "add-on" window; yes, files are in \FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\extensions; but FF always starts with the same, classic theme.

I have also a full version on the PC and it works fine.

Is there anything I can do?

Same here

Same here. The icons change, though. The background never changes.

Does the fact that no one posted any more replies in this thread indicate that everyone else can use themes with FF3 Portable without any problems?

Problem solved

Seems I had picked exactly all those themes that either use no customized background (but only change the icons) or whose backgrounds don't work in FF3 Portable. Found a few themes finally (there aren't too many adapted to FF3 yet, anyway) that indeed manage to change the background. Just to mention two themes with a bright or silverish background: "Silvermel" and "Whiteheart". They work perfectly here.
